WHEN YOU TRAVEL AGAIN TO MEXICO CITY

What would you like to do when you come back to CDMX? After so many months in the distance, you will discover that the city is alive, that every corner vibrates, and thousands of stories pour non-stop out. On this list, you will find the inspiration you’re looking for so that your next travel is full of experiences worth remembering.

Breakfast of the gods at El Cardenal

They’ve been offering traditional Mexican cuisine for almost half a century. The menu is an ode to Mexico, especially breakfasts, that move from spicy to the traditional flavors, with a bit of something sugary. Don’t leave the table without eating the freshly-made sweet bread with nata (cream).

If you stay in our Condesa apartments, this is the best route:

Between crafts and alebrijes

The Museo de Arte Popular is a can’t-miss. Here the roots, traditions, and talent of Mexican artisans find shelter, through more than three thousand pieces from textiles, alebrijes to glass and wood artworks. The store is fair trade and the perfect place to get a wonderful souvenir.

If you stay in our Juárez apartment, this is the best route:

Witness living legends

Outside the main entrance of Museo de Antropología, every hour locals gather to admire the Voladores de Papantla (Papantla’s fliers). Yes, you read that right: fliers. A pre-Hispanic ritual-dance, where four costumed men swing around a tall pole as if they were flying and then start to descend rhythmically. Legend has it that they ask gods for benevolence and plentiful rains for land fertility.

If you stay in our Roma apartments, this is the best route:

Tetetlán: sensory experiences

Self-proclaimed as a neighborhood cultural center. In the midst of San Ángel area you will find a house designed by the renowned architect Luis Barragán; a mix between terrace, gastronomic project, and art gallery, but above all, a place with an inspiring spirit. The food is organic and fantastic. With no doubts, a pleasure for your senses.

From concrete to nature

Hiking is a reality if you come to the capital. Just a couple of hours from the hustle and bustle, mind-blowing postcards will welcome you, such as Paso de Cortés, a route for adventurers where the air is pure and the Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl volcanoes are your hosts.
