Privacy policy
In THE LOCAL WAY, S.A. DE C.V., located at Laredo 18, Insurgentes Condesa, Cuauhtémoc, Mexico City, Mexico, C.P.06100, we are aware that you as a client have the right to know what information we collect from you and our practices in relation to said information. The conditions contained herein are applicable to all information that is collected on behalf of and by THE LOCAL WAY, S.A. DE C.V. (Hereinafter “TLW”).
PERSONAL DATA COLLECTED
TLW may treat Personal Data, that is, information that identifies it or makes it identifiable. Some of these personal data are, for example, name, address, marital status, date of birth, nationality, Federal Taxpayer Registration, home phone, office phone, cell phone, email, payment data. You voluntarily provide these personal data when requesting our services. TLW may interrelate the information you provide to TLW with other information that you have voluntarily provided to third parties. The above, in order to provide you with a better service.
USES AND PURPOSES OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA
The Personal Data that you provide to TLW will be treated, in addition to complying with the obligations derived from the relationship that you may create with the purpose of providing the requested service in relation to the temporary stay.
In the event that your personal data are intended to be used for a purpose other than the above, TLW will notify you by email or telephone, in order to obtain your consent for the processing of your personal data according to new purposes. If you do not receive your consent, TLW will not use your personal information if necessary.
TRANSMISSION AND TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA
TLW will not share your personal data with third parties, national or foreign, without your prior consent, unless (a) the law or a court order so requires; (B) the information must be shared with TLW contractors to carry out internal operations and to fulfill the purposes described (for example to send you a promotional item requested by you, to order delivery, to store the information physically or electronically); (C) to protect the rights or property of TLW or its customers; (D) that such transfer is provided in the Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data held by Individuals. We have required or require that our contractors agree to use your personal data only for the purpose of carrying out the operations for which they were hired.
SECURITY
TLW has taken the security, administrative, technical and physical measures necessary to protect your personal data against damage, loss, alteration, destruction or unauthorized use, access or treatment. However, TLW cannot and therefore does not guarantee that there will be no unauthorized access to your personal data or that the communications are free from any interruption, error or interception by unauthorized third parties.
Access to your personal data, held by TLW, will be limited to those who need access to such information, for the purpose of carrying out the identified purposes. In the event that when providing your Personal Data to TLW you are assigned a username and password, you will be responsible for ensuring that such information is kept confidential. We suggest that you do not share this information with anyone. If you share your computer, always try to log out before leaving a site or service to prevent unauthorized third parties from accessing your information.
El acceso a sus datos personales, en poder de TLW, se limitará a las personas que necesiten tener acceso a dicha información, con el propósito de llevar a cabo las finalidades identificadas.
En caso que al momento de proporcionar sus Datos Personales a TLW se le asigne un nombre de usuario y contraseña, usted será responsable de que dicha información se mantenga confidencial. Le sugerimos no compartir esta información con nadie. Si comparte su equipo, procure siempre cerrar la sesión antes de salir de un sitio o servicio a fin de evitar que terceros no autorizados puedan acceder a su información.
RIGHTS THAT CORRESPOND TO YOU
You, as the holder of personal data, may request access, rectification, cancellation or opposition (ARCO rights) to the Personal Data Protection Department of TLW regarding your personal data. You may also, at any time, revoke the consent you have given, and that is necessary, for the processing of your personal data. To do this, you must send to Laredo 18, Insurgentes Condesa, Cuauhtémoc, Mexico City, Mexico, or to the email reservations@thelocalway.com.mx your respective request. For easy reference, we tell you the following:
- Access.- to be informed of which of your personal data are contained in the databases of TLW and for what is used that personal data, the origin of said data and the communications that have been made with them.
- Correction.- Correct or update your personal data in case they are inaccurate or incomplete. You must inform TLW of the changes that should be made to your personal data when such changes are only known to you.
- Cancellation.- Your personal data are totally or partially lost from the TLW databases. This request will lead to a blocking period after which the data will be deleted. There are cases in which cancellation will not be possible in terms of the Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data held by Individuals and other applicable legal provisions.
- Opposition.- oppose for legitimate cause the treatment of your personal data by TLW or limit its use or disclosure. In cases where the opposition is seen on the receipt of certain communiqués, these communications will include the option to leave the mailing list and stop receiving them.
CHANGES TO THE PRIVACY NOTICE
TLW reserves the right to modify or amend, in whole or in part, this Privacy Notice. The modified Privacy Notice will be sent to the email address you provided or will be posted on the website www.thelocalwaymx.com. The lack of opposition to the new Privacy Notice within 5 business days after its receipt shall be understood as its acceptance of the terms set forth therein.
CONSENT
By providing any information, including your personal data, you expressly: (i) accept the conditions contained in this Notice of Privacy; (ii) you agree that the information provided by you may be stored, used and generally treated for the purposes stated, including for commercial and promotional purposes; (iii) grants TLW authorization to obtain, compile, store, share, communicate, transmit and use such information in any manner or form, in accordance with the conditions set forth herein and applicable laws.
